Make a Difference by Making a Gift

Your gift to Good Grief is essential to our ability to provide children and families with extraordinary, free peer support programs. There are many ways to give, and we hope you will choose one that is meaningful to you. We are extremely thankful to all our supporters.

Annual Giving is The Cornerstone for Good Grief’s Success

Annual Giving is the number one fundraising priority for Good Grief. The scope and depth of the programs available at Good Grief are only possible as a result of our Annual Giving campaign, since unrestricted gifts provide a significant segment (about 30%) of the organization’s operating budget ($1.2 million and growing). As a nonprofit, funds for the operating budget only come from one of three sources: events, foundations, and annual giving. The amount you are able to give may vary but your commitment to giving every year provides the sustainable base of support that allows us to make a difference every day. The easiest way to make a gift is online.

The Campaign For Hope is Critical to the Success and Expansion of Good Grief

The Campaign For Hope has an ambitious capital goal of $4 million. The Campaign for Hope will leverage support and invest dollars in two primary areas: purchasing the Princeton center ($2M) and creating an endowment for program and education expansion ($2M). This campaign will ensure that Good Grief establishes permanent roots while enabling consistent growth through program and education expansion as our strategic plan directs.

Support Mapleton: Create A Permanent Princeton Home

While we will work tirelessly to ensure that every child has access to our programs, we cannot do it without your help. We have negotiated a wonderful opportunity to lease and then buy 5 Mapleton Road in Princeton, which will enable us to have a permanent home. We are seeking $2M to fully fund this project by December 2016. Naming opportunities are available. All gifts of $5,000 or higher directed to the Princeton Center will be acknowledged prominently in our founder’s display.

Endowment Gift: Have A Lasting Impact Throughout New Jersey

As part of The Campaign For Hope, Good Grief has identified the need for creating a $2 million endowment for program and education expansion. Each year, we need to add an additional $100,000 to our operating budget to keep up with the demand for our programs. A $2 million endowment will provide approximately $100,000 annually, allowing us to keep up with the need. Gifts to the endowment can vary in size, but the minimum gift is never less than $10,000 which yields about $500 annually to support a child for about 6 months of programing. Endowment gifts create lasting and powerful resources for Good Grief’s programs and education. Gifts to the endowment can be paid over three years.
