Sunday, May 19, 2013 | 1:00-4:00pm The Frelinghuysen Arboretum, Morristown, NJ Mandala Weaving | Memorial Labyrinth | Music | Yoga and More! Honor & share memories of family members and friends to support grieving children and their families. Event Highlights A Fundraising Walk of Remembrance | The Hope Blooms path will offer participants an opportunity to reflect on their grief journey and remember loved ones. Taken at your own pace, each person’s journey will be unique. The walk also serves as an opportunity to raise support and make a difference for grieving families served by Good Grief. Memorial Labyrinth | A labyrinth represents the grief journey and offers a space to meditate and reflect. Participants will decorate stones with special messages and add to the memorial labyrinth begun at Hope Blooms in 2012. Communal Mandala | The mandala is a symbol shared by many cultures signifying the circle of life and the inter-connectedness we all share. Participants will weave fabric into our specially-designed mandala along with messages of loss, remembrance and hope. Once completed, our mandala tapestry will be displayed at Good Grief. New Jersey Symphony Orchestra | Timeless and inspirational, the music of the NJSO will create a soothing backdrop for participants throughout the day. Yoga | Yoga uses spiritual, physical and mental disciplines to create a balance in the body through strength and flexibility. Participants will get to free their minds and relax their bodies as they learn basic forms of movement, suitable for all, from certified instructors.
