How long do your programs run?

Good Grief programs are year-round. We offer bi-weekly groups from September through June and offer Family Fun Days in July and August, in order to accommodate the busy travel schedules and summer fun of families. During our Family Fun Days the entire community comes together.

How long can I participate?

Your family can stay as long as you need. The average stay is two years, but we believe that everyone’s story and experience is unique. We honor each story and each family’s needs.

What does it cost?

Our programs are free-of-charge. We raise funds through private donations and events to help off-set the annual cost of a family which is $7,500. Families are not required, but are welcome to make donations or solicit support from others. Please refer to Giving.

Can I visit?

We welcome visitors through meaningful tours of our home, which include more information about our mission and grieving children. We do not allow visitors during our programs because of confidentiality. Interested families are encouraged to attend an orientation to learn more about our programs. Attending an orientation does not require you to enroll in the programs. Please see Family Orientation.

Who runs your groups?

Our groups are supervised by Good Grief staff. Groups are facilitated by our dedicated and trained volunteers who have completed our required 36-hour training program and who fulfill continuing education requirements throughout the year.
