Bear Makin' Project

Often families are faced with the difficult task of deciding what to do with the clothing of the person who died. The Bear Makin' Project, a local sewing group, provide a meaningful and comforting option for our families. Using articles of clothing from the person who died, they lovingly craft stuffed bears including a heart embroidered with the person's name. They will make a bear for each member of the family who would like one. Through their generosity, dozens of Good Grief families have been comforted by these soft bears.

Would you like to arrange for bears for your family? If so, contact the Bear Project Managers, Maureen M. and Terry B., at to schedule a time to drop-off articles of clothing and to learn more about this opportunity.
Good Grief is truly grateful to the Bear Makin' Project for this very special contribution.
